The hip sockets are deepening and the balls on the top of her femur bones, that connect to the hip, have finally formed. That is all very good news. She has to remain in the harness for at least another 3 months, we are not sure how much longer before she gets it off, again [...]

Just a little update…Emma is no longer the proud owner of $.11 in her stomach…2 little shiny pennies made their dramatic appearance today!  It’s good news for all as now we don’t have to put her under and get them taken out…much mo betta.

So we had a visit to the orthopedic doc on Friday for Alexa and he was very happy with her progress!  Her hip socket is forming (which is why her left hip was dislocating) and we don’t have to go back for a check-up for 2 weeks so we were really happy to hear that [...]

Thought I would just post what my wifey sent in an email recently… We took her to the Orthopedist and they diagnosed her with hip dysplasia in both of her hips, basically that means they are underdeveloped because they have not been aligned properly, since birth, one side was out of socket completely and the [...]
