1st post of 2008.  I know you missed me.  SOOOO much has happened already this year.  I’ll fill you in on a few things:

1.  Christmas/New Year’s was great, though Brooke got sick a few times so that was quite the experience for daddy…we were able to get some help from our doc in LA and stayed with my folks while Brooke got better so that was great.

2.  We painted the office – finally – so we didn’t have glaring white walls all around us.  We figured that since we were spending so much time here we should spruce it up a bit.

3.  I made the Big Switch.  I’m back to the Mac.  Got a MacBook Pro right before Christmas and it has defninitely scratched every nerd itch I have just tinkering around with it.  So far, very happy I made the switch.  

4.  Little Alexa is 2.5 months old now and has already kept us very busy!  We found out right after she was born that she’s hypothyroid so we have been giving her some medicine every day that helps to stabilize.  They’re not sure if it’s something she’ll grow out of but it’s also very manageable so we’re grateful for that.  We just found out yesterday that both her hips are a little weak, one was actually dislocated and the other was just kind of loose.  She is not in a little harness thing for the next 3-4 months, maybe 6, so that should be fun!  I was actually glad it was just this little pink velcro thing…I was thinking it was going to be like the kid had in Forest Gump…heh.  I’ll post a pic soon.

5.  I’m headed to Belarus the 17th of Feb as that’s where our developers are at for our web stuff so that should be a fun trip…found out my passport had expired so just got that all renewed and I’m ready to roll.  

6.  Work has been insane!  We in the process of moving all our sites to a new system and it’s just been crazy all the while trying to keep new business coming in.  Hopefully by the end of March it should be all back to normal.

7.  We’re still on quite the church journey, trying to figure out what that all means to us, but that has been a rather involved part of the past few weeks as well.  I’m sure I’ll post more about it as I hopefully start to figure out more.  Maybe I’ll start a "journey" section…could be fun.  

Well…enough for now…gotta get back to work!  Brooke and I are going away tomorrow for our anniversary – 7 years!  Hard to believe.
